There’s a version of Christmas shopping that goes like this: pick the photo, design the gift, get to the checkout – and only then discover it won’t arrive until Boxing Day. Popsa makes several different products – Photo Books, Calendars, Wall Tiles, Ornaments, Photo Boxes and Prints – and the honest answer is that the order-by date depends on where your order is going and how quickly you choose to ship it, rather than which product you’re making. This page covers everything in one place, so you can check the date before you start designing.
Why a Popsa order-by date isn't the same as a postal one
Posting a Christmas card involves one clock: time with the postal service or courier. A personalised photo product involves two. Popsa makes everything to order, so there’s a production window before dispatch. Popsa’s guidance is to allow roughly three to four working days from ordering to dispatch, after which the shipping clock starts. That’s why the same “order by 18 December” rule of thumb that might work for a card doesn’t work for a personalised photo gift. You need to allow for production time as well as transit time, and during the Christmas peak – roughly 6 December to 6 January – both can stretch.
Order-by dates for every Popsa product
Popsa’s published guidance gives the same three to four working-day production estimate across its products. So rather than a separate Christmas deadline for each product, the date that matters depends on where your order is going and which shipping speed you choose at checkout.
The dates below are Popsa’s last order dates for Christmas 2026. Order on or before the date shown for your destination and shipping speed, and your gift should arrive in time for Christmas. Not every shipping speed is available for every destination; a dash means that option isn’t offered.
Order-by dates by destination and shipping speed
Important: Always check the delivery date shown at checkout, as available services and estimated delivery times can change.
What if you miss the date?
There are still a few ways to make Christmas Day if the calendar hasn’t been kind. First, switch to Christmas Special or Rush shipping if either is available for your destination. Both give you a later order-by date than Standard shipping.
You could also choose a simpler product. Prints are quick to design and relatively small to ship, so they may be a more practical last-minute option than a Photo Book if time is tight. Or accept that the finished gift might arrive a day or two late and give something to open on the day. A printed photo tucked inside a card, or even a screenshot of the order confirmation, gives the recipient something tangible to unwrap while the finished gift makes its way to them.
Once your date's sorted, what's worth adding?
Once you’ve worked out your delivery deadline, it’s a better time to think about extras than when you’re staring at the checkout button. A premium gift box can turn a single Ornament or Photo Box into something that feels properly ready to unwrap, rather than arriving in a mailer. If you’re making one gift, it can also be worth making a second copy for another grandparent or sibling while your photos are chosen and your design is done. And if you decide to upgrade to a faster shipping tier, doing so while there’s still a comfortable gap before the deadline gives you more breathing room than leaving it until the last moment.
