Senior Product Designer

LocationSoho, London

Scope

We're looking for an exceptional Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of how millions of people create and share their memories through Popsa. This is a hands-on, craft-led role where you'll work on meaningful, complex problems across our native iOS, Android and web apps. You'll join our Product Design team, reporting to our Product Design Manager, and partner closely with PMs and our in-house Engineering team to take ideas from early exploration through to polished, production-ready design.

We're looking for a designer who loves doing the work. Someone with strong product instincts, deep care for interaction and visual design, and the confidence to make decisions in open-ended problem spaces. We need a craft specialist who pushes for elegant solutions, and knows that the last 10% of polish is what transforms good products into beloved ones.

This role is ideal for someone from a consumer tech or product-led company who has deep experience with native mobile design and is passionate about delivering work that sets a high standard for quality.

About Popsa

Joining Popsa right now is pretty exciting. We’re a London-based, Certified B Corp building a memory curation platform that uses on-device intelligence and generative AI to help people find, organise, and relive the moments that matter, turning noisy photo libraries into curated stories with minimal effort and high confidence.

We're also a proven, international growth business. Popsa was recognised in Deloitte's UK Technology Fast 50 (2022), making it our third year running on the list, and was also ranked the 19th fastest-growing software company that year. The Financial Times ranked Popsa as the 5th fastest-growing technology company in Europe and highly ranked in 2022, and in 2023 we retained our place in the FT 1000 for a second year, with an absolute growth rate of 1,000% over the measured period.

Our apps and service operate at global scale, localised across 12 languages, shipping to 50+ countries, with most orders placed from outside the UK.  More than 13 million people across 50 countries have used Popsa to turn their photos into something they can actually be proud to share.

People have never taken more photos than they do today, but most of those memories end up buried in clutter. Popsa brings calm to that chaos, automatically surfacing meaningful moments, suggesting structure and themes, generating captions, and laying out designs, so anyone can create something beautiful without design skills.  From there, we make it easy to bring curated memories into the real world with premium photo products, including photo books, calendars, prints and photo boxes, delivered internationally.

Private by design. We’re deliberate about what is processed on-device, what is uploaded, and how customer content is protected, so people can trust us with their most personal memories.

Key responsibilities

  • You’re an outstanding storyteller. Just as comfortable thinking on your feet as you are expressing yourself in writing. You’re able to lay out your thinking with clarity, conviction, and where needed, persuasion.

  • You embrace ambiguity. Able to quickly evolve ideas based on a shifting set of business and user needs, technical constraints, and feedback from your team

  • You’re data-literate. Comfortable analysing user and business data to form insights, and using those insights to inform decision making.

  • You have taste. You have a strong instinct for what great product design looks like, and can help your team get there.

  • You’re a collaborator. able to influence product, engineering, and leadership.

  • You're a curious and skeptical thinker. You dig deeper, challenge assumptions, and don't settle for surface-level answers

Skills & experience

  • A track record of shipping complex, high-quality software products in a fast-moving, high-growth, or scale-up context.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates very strong visual, interaction and information design craft.

  • Leveraging AI technology to make their daily work more efficient.

  • Experience designing native mobile apps. Ideally in a B2C environment.

  • High level of Figma expertise, alongside other prototyping tools. You've worked extensively with design systems to produce beautiful, functional designs that scale neatly.

  • Understand engineering. Can communicate clearly with engineers and, when needed, can build prototypes in order to communicate ideas.

Personal attributes

Who this role might not suit:

  • If your experience is primarily in brand, marketing, or campaign design rather than digital products

  • If you prefer focusing on strategy over hands-on craft and execution.

  • If you work best with structured processes and clear direction. We're building in an emerging space where the path isn't always defined.
