Double opt-in policy for receiving emails

Popsa requires all users who wish to receive emails from us to confirm their email address. This makes sure that if someone else uses your email address without your permission, you won't receive any further correspondence from us.

What does this mean for me?

When you register your email address with us in order to set up your Popsa account we will send you an email which asks you to confirm your email address.

When you click on the button contained in that email, we will log the time that you clicked it and that will ensure that your Popsa emails get through correctly.

We recommend adding hello@popsa.com to your address book if you want to ensure you don't miss anything.

Security Checks

If your account has recently been active (i.e. someone is using the Popsa app with your email address) and you haven't confirmed your email address, we shall send a secondary verification email to give you another chance to confirm your identity.

This makes your account more secure; for example you can then reset your password if you forget it.

What if I am receiving emails but I did not register with Popsa?

This very rarely happens but it is possible. If someone else accidentally misspells their own email address you could receive them instead.

Double opt-in means that you won't continue to receive emails other than those asking you to confirm your email address.

If you believe someone has accidentally used your address, please send an email to our support team. They will make sure that your details have been completely removed from our systems.

What if I don't confirm my address?

If you have stopped using the Popsa app and haven't confirmed your email address you will no longer receive any emails from us.

You don't need to opt out as we will assume you no longer wish to receive correspondence or that the initial registration was a mistake.

Transactional Emails

Transactional emails are those which are triggered in direct response to a request from you.

Order Confirmations are a good example of transactional emails. We shall send these messages irrespective of whether you have confirmed your address because it is a clearly legitimate case where you will expect to receive information.
